I agree that Innoventions does suck. =( some of the things in there are kinda interesting if you see them one time and never go back.

I don't remember the name, but the 360 degree theater didn't fit the future theme either.
Both Circle Vision, and America Sings are better than what they have now
America Sings was the future where animals are intelligent and can sing, dance and talk. From a future when scientists so messed up the ecosystem that they turned animals into humanoid creatures. That or a future where we humans run out of spare body parts and thus take over the bodies of animals. Dad need a new heart so stuff his brain in a pig's body.
OK that was a bit of a stretch there. Shoot me.
Circlevision and America Sings do not fit the theme. Why did they have a Yacht Bar in the future?
Autopia fit as it was teaching kids to get used to driving really slow just like on future congested highways.
lol
Circlevision was classic Tomorrowland -- the film projection system of the future.
America Sings is a different story. I was not a happy camper when Carousel of Progress closed. Worse, a "joyride through America's musical history" was its replacement. True, bicentennial fervor was strong in 1974. And yes, it was a clever use of the Carousel Theater. But Marc Davis-style animals singing the history of American music in Tomorrowland?
For me it was the first of many changes to Disneyland that I thought Walt-era WED wouldn't have done.
It wouldn't be the last.

imagination or art. All you need is a brand."

I was just learning about America Sings just last night. First learning that they had a death on the 2nd day it opened.
Then watched a old YouTube video of it.

Then reading about it at the Yesterland website America Sings at Yesterland
I wish now, I could see the geese that turned into droids for the Star Tours now.
But my thoughts. I do feel it was odd placing , them into Tomorrowland . There more the Frontierland or Critter Country type. Goodthing there in a land that is more fitting for them now. But yet I would had loved to have seen this America Sings show.

Debbie Stone - the employee (what they called us then) killed in that terrible accident - was in my orientation (what they called it then) group. I began working at DL that same summer, 1974. The attraction had been open at least a week though, as I recall.
I always enjoyed America Sings, and never gave too much thought to the theming or placing of it. As was stated here before, one has to recall that it was opened two years prior to the Bi-Centennial which was a very big deal.
And they had the carousel there after the COP left...would've been rather difficult to move it to another land.
Thank you POISONEDAPPLES!
Yes offcourse its better now.
