Skull Rock was between the Monstro Whale and where Dumbo is now. The lagoon for the Tuna Boat was where Dumbo flies around in circles today. A few remaining bits of the old tuna boat now reside in the Peter Pan ride. And you can still see part of the bottom jaw of the old Skull Rock on the little waterfall which is located toward the back side of Monstro and next to Dumbo. But you'd be hard pressed to figure that out by looking at it.
muchas gracias
I wish they still had this.
I wish I knew more. But I've heard Tony Baxter mention on a couple of occasions that when the Tuna Boat was destroyed while they were attempting to move it, some of it was saved and is now in the Peter Pan ride.
At one point, he was pushing for a new tuna boat restaurant behind Storybookland which would have resulted in an extension of the current ride to float around the new boat in a new Never Never Land section. That would have been fantastic. Perhaps we'll still see that happen one day.
There seems to be a lot of nostalgia regarding the boat and Skull Rock. It would be wonderful to see them return to Disneyland in some form, and would serve as a nice balance to the princess invasion which has taken over Fantasyland in recent years.

I loved Skull Rock, it was an adventure in itself. We have some black and white photos my Dad took of us in it, while he was standing in front of it. I'll have to dig those up and scan them, if I can find them.
