As a follow-up to my Disneyland Then and Now series, I brought some historic Knott’s Berry Farm photos to Knott’s recently to take matching photos of the same locations today.

Werner, another great Then and Now article. Because of your recent glances at Knott's Berry Farm, it's caused me to resurrect memories from back in the day. In fact, I am thinking of taking one of my vacation days to Disneyland in July and bringing the family to Knotts Berry Farm to ride the world's greatest log ride!![]()
Thanks so much for the then & nows - great job! Wish I had known you were at the event - saw right where you were sitting but had no clue it was you!

I think anyone looking at those photos can see that, for the most part, the changes made to Knott's have been for the worse.
The before-&-after shot of the El Camino Real underpass alone speaks volumes about the wrong direction the park has taken. I shudder every time I see it.
But even worse is what they've done to the former Reflection Lake area (not shown in these photos), where a wonderful, serene setting was destroyed and replaced by yet another monster coaster.
The Knott's I knew now looks like somebody dropped Six Flags Magic Mountain on top of it - and flattened everything but Ghost Town.
