Think of the little 4" x 4" ceramic tiles that you might have in your shower. They're cemented place and difficult to remove without breaking them.
Now imagine a mural that's not made of small ceramic tiles, but of huge, oddly-shaped ceramic art pieces, each several feet wide. They were cemented in place and not designed to be removed.
If the DCA entrance mural had been something that could have been disassembled and reassembled somewhere else, I sure that would have happened.

:(Weep!:( I am sad that the mural could not be reassembled someplace else.

I'm sorry to see such a grand piece of art destroyed.
However, I'm happy that DCA is getting an entrance the promises to provide a much better experience for guests.

It's sad for me to only see the Mural once, and now learn it's going to be used as a mop dance floor
really hope they do something useful for the Letters
