Five weeks ago, I ran Part 1 of a three-part series comparing photos of World Showcase in 1983, when Epcot Center was just a few months old, with similar photos that I took this year. Here's the second part:
Please discuss it here.

Great article. I love the comparisons.

Once a Disney fan, always a Disney fan.
Another great article. I absolutely love this series (especially since Epcot has always been my favorite WDW park).
I have to ask though, when did they get rid of the large white colonnade at the back of America Gardens Theatre? I guess I was just so used to it being there, I never noticed that they took it down.
You missed another Then and Now on the American Adventure - well 2, but only one shows up in the article. First, in the first 2 picture comparison, the Center Bell Tower on the building itself - Then, it was inclosed, Now, it is an actual bell tower with bell.
Second, the Stage ... it did not previously exist in a manner to block the view of the pavillion from the opposite side of the Lagoon as it does now, but there is no photo Then and Now to compare. I was there the day before the official opening and the day of .... and have been many times since. If you need pictures to compare, I am sure I can find some.

Did the appearance of Spaceship Earth change over the last 30 years? In the 1983 photos it looks much more metallic and shiny than I've ever remembered seeing it. The last two pictures make it look like it's transformed from a disco ball to a golf ball.
