November 26, 2011: Disney Drops National Harbor

It was May 19, 2009. A press release revealed that Disney had bought a resort site near Washington, DC. Then came two and a half years of silence. Now there’s news again.

    Please discuss it here.

Whoops. I guess I should've waited 9 hrs to start my "Where should the next DVC Resort be at?" thread. LOL. Oh well. The only prime locations for DVC Resorts outside of the parks would have to be near a waterfront anyway.

People like the wilderness too... Sking camping, etc

And the national harbor project doesn't surprise me at all. Dumb from the start. The location itself stinks

Disney and this region are cursed.

I am thinking back to Disney's America.

Disney America had a chance.. most of it has been repurposed in other parks.

This was just another attempt at slapping Disney branding on a product and trying to turn nothing into a money machine. Disney is better off here.
