Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

For me it was the Monsanto House of The Future. I was fascinated by the idea that we could live in something like that.

Flying saucers I loved , cant wait to see Luigis tire bumper ride. Have read that its the flying saucer tire ride of today. I question that though since its low people eating, and subjected to the elements... advancement in tech of the rides yes ... maybe the air outlets will be smaller preventing disablement, like the flying saucers. I so remember as a kid waiting in the never moving line for the saucers yet is was so cool and such a different sort of ride I always went back for more.
Circle vision was wonderful, the last time we visited before it closed was America the Beautiful . Monsanto, the mine train, peoplemover all sorely missed. Though it does stand to reason that the rides missed are mostly in tomorrowland... we live in an ever changing world more so now than before , whatever comes will most likely fade away again many moons down the line.

Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

I mostly miss the Country Bears. Either the original show, or the Vacation Hoedown. I remember the VH much better, since I was only 3 when the original show went away, but I do have some small memories of the original show. My favorites in both shows was always Max, Buff and Melvin. They always brought a smile to my face. Ooh! And also Henry, in the intro, saying: "Now clap your hands, and stomp your feet, and try and keep right with 'em. One sure thing the Bear Band's got is real old country rhythm!" That always got me really excited for the show.

I was having a bad day at the park, a couple weeks ago, and I was thinking "What could I do that would cheer me up in a heartbeat? ... ... Country Bears! Oh... yeah. They don't exist anymore. stupid winnie the pooh... @#*!$&% Eisner!!!

(On a side note, Safari just said that "Eisner" was spelt wrong, so you know what it suggested instead? "Ensnare". How true... how true...)

    1) I miss the People Mover the most. It was such a cool ride just to kick back on and watch the scenery go by.

    2) The Country Bear Jamboree: Not that the Winnie the Pooh ride isn't cute, and my daughters love it! But, this is one of my favs from childhood when I used to go to Disneyland with my grandparents.

    3) Main Street Electric Parade (being on Main Street).

    4) America Sings

    5) Adventure Thru Inner Space

    I miss:

1.) Rocket Rods. All Disney needed to do was change it up a bit, and people would have liked it more. (a.k.a. bank the turns.)

    2.)The country Bear Jamboree

    3.)Adventure Thru Inner Space

I just finished (except for a few bugs) an interactive Flash map of Disneyland, based on the 1961 brochure map; if you get a chance, check it out and let me know what you think:

The rides I miss the most are:
    1) The People Mover - never a line to wait in and a great place to get pics of the park
    2) Country Bear - entertaining and a haven when it was hot out
    3) America Sings - loved the whole show
    4) Circle Vision - great videos and I remember sleeping in the lobby on grad night

My first trip to Disneyland was in late 2001, so I can't really say I miss any attractions. But I am sorry I never had the chance to see Adventure thru Inner Space.
