Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

People Mover. The Tron section was awesome as a kid. Plus I loved the 60's elevator music.

Country Bear Jamboree. Another one of my favorites as a kid. Plus I loved the fact that it felt like you were tucked away from the test of the park in the little corner.

Skyway. Another great relaxing way to see the park.

Motor Boat Cruise. Many great memories of that ride.

    Pre-Hollywood PoTC.

Captain EO. I loved this show.

    America Sings.

    Swiss Family Treehouse.

^the funny thing is that I STILL love the 70's elevator music from the People Mover.

I also still love Captain EO.

Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

I was born in 1994 and probably didn't get to Disneyland for the first time until 1996/1998 so I never really got to experience the "classic" attractions but I am very interested in the Old Tomorrowland especially Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress and The Peoplemover, two rides you can still experience at WDW. I think Tomorrowland is the only land that The Magic Kingdom beats Old Disneyland as it has kept SOME classic rides, Disneyland's are pretty much all gone.

Innerspace (which I have learned was owned by Monsanto who invented Aspartame™) and a close second is Peoplemover
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.

Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

My all time long gone fav would have to be Country Bear Jamboree. I loved the original show as well as the vacation show. One day I'll have to looking for my Big Al.

The People Mover was the first thing I ever got to ride with just my Brothers, no old folks reminding me not to touch, climb, don't move......yeah that was a big moment for a 5 yr old. I had no idea what Tron was about but I didn't care.

Captain EO was just the best movie. Being a kid back then was great." Michael Jackson? Oh you mean Captain EO?" I wanna grow up and be just like him....." I wonder how it would hold up now? The movie not MJ. I wonder whatever happened to my shirt?

I miss the OG subs. I still haven't gotten on Nemo. It's not hate. Blame the lines.

Without a doubt the original Tiki Room. I drove my mom crazy listening to the record over and over when I was a kid. I don't love the new updated room.

Question Re: What Disneyland attraction do you miss the most?

[quote=draybook;2522266]People Mover. The Tron section was awesome as a kid.

I joined this forum just to ask about the Tron section of the PeopleMover !! I liked the movie and thought this part of the ride was one of the most clever things done in the park. But there were only two "rooms" that were devoted to Tron ... was there any more? was this part of a larger exhibit?? or were two rooms all that Disneyland could give to one of their most original and creative masterpieces !?!?

Does anybody know anymore about the Tron section of the ride ????

    Addendum:

I also miss the Mine Train Thru Nature's Wonderland, the Mike Fink Keel Boats, Tom Sawyer Island as it originally was, the Country Bear Jamboree, the Main Street Cinema as it originally was (they actually showed old silent movies, not early black & white Mickey Mouse cartoons), the Fantasyland Theater (where they DID show Mickey Mouse cartoons, in full Technicolor glory), the original Submarine Voyage, the Rocket Jets, Casa de Fritos, the Golden Horseshoe Revue, and the Tahitian Terrace (teriyaki chicken + Hawaiian entertainment = joy).

I miss Adventures Thru Innerspace. I was pretty small when I went on this ride, but I still have some memories of it. I would looooooooooooooove to ride this one again, all these years later. I also miss Captain EO.
