People Mover, just for the pure quiet slow pace of it. I never rode it with more than one or two other people in my car train.

Skyway, for the easy of jetting from one side of the park to the other. Another slow paced ride that was just so relaxing - and feet refreshing.

Original Sub ride, for the nostalgic aspect of it. By the time we first made it to Disneyland, under the pole travel was more common place. It was nice to pretend we were on a dangerous mission. I always laughed at Disney's placement of Atlantis near the polar ice caps though.

America Sings was a great sit down and cool off place.

And of course the Country Bear Playhouse. Pooh just doesn't hold up in it's place.

There's a theme here I'm noticing, all the rides I miss were slow paced and restful. I hope Disney brings back a few more of those. Not everything has to go lickety split!

I miss the people mover most. It was my family's favorite after lunch ride. One of my best Disneyland memories is when the ride broke down and we were escorted off. It was right after they shut down the Skyway, and they took us through the room where all the sky buckets were stored. It was awesome. That was the only time I have been escorted off an attraction.

Yah, I really miss the People Mover too. I miss it so much that I went and bought the poster last week!

It's the most amazing thing really. A ride where the entire land of Tomorrow is the story and theme. And I absolutely love that. A ride where you can sit back and just enjoy the creation that is Tomorrowland. It was fun to ride on the autopia, but I got a certain satisfaction in watching other cars drive by overhead. I loved being on the People Mover when the monorail was parked at the station. I loved the whole pointlessness of it. It existed because it was, and I miss it more than anything.

I miss the Fantasyland Autopia, although technically its not gone, because I only ever got to ride it once. It never made sense to me why they had 2 of the same ride but hardly ever ran the second one. I guess thats why they re-vamped the entire ride.

The ride I miss the most is the Skyway. When I was a kid I always wanted to get stuck on the Skyway, so I could stay on the ride just a little longer.

These are not attractions, so to speak, but I miss the old entrance signs. The city of Anaheim made all the businesses around Disneyland, including Disney, to conform to some stupid rule about having anything interesting in signage a few years ago. I remember as a kid the first sign http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp/...tegoryId=14859
Then the replacement sign, which was purchased by actor John Stamos

Somehow not having these greet me when I visit makes the trip a little sadder.

    Adventure Through Inner Space

I miss the Adventures Through Inner Space ride. It was a great make-out ride

Perfectly dark, slow, and private (but I found out there were many cameras watching the ride so the operators probably had many interesting stories)

Disneyland's Tomorrowland isn't the ghost town it was ten years ago. At that time, the Carousel Theater (now Innoventions) and Mission to Mars (now Redd Rockett's Pizza Port) where essentially "boarded up buildings" (though not with actual plywood boards). Other good news in Tomorrowland is that Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters is a popular, high-capacity attraction and that the Submarine Voyage is coming back (with Nemo) in 2007. Also in 2007, the Monorail will reopen after much-needed work.

Unfortunately, the Skyway is gone forever. The PeopleMover/Rocket Rods track sits unused. And Star Tours needs a major refresh.

There was nothing as magical as the Flying Saucers. After getting strapped in, the air in the floor came on and you and your saucer hovered slightly above the ground. All you had to do was lean in the direction you wanted to go and before you knew it, you were zooming across that button covered blue floor. How I wished my saucer could lift off and fly around Disneyland.

I miss that hot fish sandwich that was sold in the old pirate ship in Fantasyland. Anyone know what ever happened to that ship? Torn up as scrap or did someone buy it? Skull rock was pretty cool too!

Remember the paddle boats you could rent in the square lagoon behind the Disneyland Hotel? That was around 1966 if memory serves.

Dang, i wasn't old enough to experience the flying saucers or the skull rock. They seem really cool though. I wonder if advanced technology would be able to pull off a new and reliable flying saucers.
