I was recently cleaning up all my Disney memorabilia and found a copy of a souvenir restrospective magazine WED/WDI did in 1984 that was sent to me as a teen in the early 90s when I wrote WDI with questions about the Fair rides--they said they had a few copies of the magazine left so really kindly sent me one (it was a magazine just done for internal company distribution)
A special 20th retrospective of the fair and its impact on Disney
Anyway the full Ford Motorway ride sounds fantastic--perhaps, to me, the most interesting of the four exhibits Disney did for the fair.
So one thing I've never read a clear explanation about--why wasn't the full ride incorporated to DL? Certainly with the future city segment it woulda fit in at DL--instead only the dinosaurs--not even the cavemen just were transported to the train at DL. Was it because Ford didn't wanna bring the ride to DL? no room?
