Trekkie Dad, was that the little place next to the Showcase? As I recall there was a sign in the shape of a big egg out front...

I miss the Fantasia ice cream as well. It was nice to get something at Disneyland that you couldn't get anywhere else.

I miss the cheese dipping sauce they gave you when you got a Mickey Pretzel. It wasn't the same as it is now, today it's like nacho cheese crud that I don't like so I don't ever get it anymore. It used to taste like cheddar I think. I think they changed it about four years ago.

I recall eating a huge apple fritter in New Orleans Square, back when I was a kid (in the Dark Ages). When I was in Disneyland in late 2005, I couldn't find them for sale anywhere. Does anyone else remember these incredible fritters, or am I imagining it?

I really miss the Carnation Cafe as it used to be. It was my favorite place to eat; especially their Splash Mountain Sundaes that were soooo divine!
I also miss the way the Mint Juleps used to be made. The syrup to water ratio is just so off balance now. Far too sweet.

I must be really old because I can kind of remember a corn chip dispenser machine that sang. I think it was located in Frontierland. Or I was dreaming again As a kid I loved this!!!! Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Yes! That was Casa de Fritos in Frontierland, when Rancho Del Zocalo is now. There was a dispenser with the Frito Kid, who after you inserted your coin, would hollar up to Klondike in the mine to send out a bag of Fritos. There's a great picture of it in the 50th Anniversary Disneyland book. It was so cute, and you'd hear this great samba music while your bag came out.

I don't exactly know the years the Frito Kid appeared, but here's a link to the story on Yesterland - http://www.yesterland.com/casafritos.html

I miss the Tahitian Terrace...my dad took me there a couple of times and it was such an amazing treat. I saw the menu on the Yesterland site and felt like I was five again.

And I miss Fantasia ice cream, too. Can't figure out why they discontinued it

Miss the waffles on a stick that they used to serve at the window in New Orleans Square. Also the popcorn shrimp from Harbour's Galley before it turned McDonald's

OK, this is going to make me sound old, but do you remember HillsBrothers' Coffee on Main Street?
