with all the male enhancement drugs now a days i don't think anyone would like that ride anymore
There are 2 make out rides ATIS & HM. One makes you shrink, the other has things that "pop up". Guess which ride survived?

Adventures Thru Inner Space was always the first ride I had to ride when we got to Disneyland. They could bring it back especially with all the new technological advances we've attained in the last 30 years. I'm surprised that the Disney Imagineers hadn't thought of a way to to take the idea of that ride and retool it. Adventures Thru Inner Space can be so much more than it was and realistic enough that it would be engaging to people of all ages (with the right script).....they could use the old People Mover/Rocket Rods track and really do something with it. Although, I was really hoping for another People Mover ride that could take us into the "future" of Tomorrowland.
^^^Inner Space was one of my favorite rides as a kid, and honestly I may be in the minority, but I dont want it to come back in some new revamped way, I loved the geekyness of it, going through the microscope, wondering if I was really getting smaller, the fact that it was kinda cheesy was what made it fun. I guess I would be up for something similar somewhere in tomorrowland, but probably not on the people mover tracks.
A little piece of heaven

Next WDW trip coming up 10-5-10 to 10-15-10, Wilderness Lodge Villas.
ATIS could be a huge hit today with enhanced special effects, motion controlled ride vehichles and an updated storyline. With today's technology the attraction could even have multiple endings and different experiences each time you ride (like Indy).
Another concept would be to morph the ATIS storyline in to a coaster like Space Mountain (Innerspace Mountain? Micro Mountain? Molecular Mountain?). Imagine traveling at lightspeed through the world of the atom. Just don't ask me where they would put it…
In any case, ATIS in some form or another could be as great today or better than it was in the '70s. Its something that is sorely needed in Tomorrowland to save it from the 'Toon Takeover'.
Dream big. Do what you love.
I say rip out innoventions and put the new ATIS in there.
yes!
I was just net searching for more info on this ride and came across this site:

Here you will see a booklet that was given to early visitors of this ride. It actually was educational!!! Granted it was written by the sponsor, but can you imagine getting something so educational now while riding a ride at a Disney park!
If you are interested in learning more about water...check it out! hehe
When I was a teen growing up in Anaheim, we called that ride "The Monsanto Makeout". I spent many a summer night dancing to the sounds of Papa Doo Run Run, a Beach Boys cover band that played there on the weekends. After dancing with some of the girls we would usually find our way over to that ride. It was long and dark. Hehehehe. Good times.
I think it would be great if it came back revamped. We've learned so many new things and I would love to get shunk again. Many kids still are facinated with science and nature.
