Re: Anyone remember Tinkerbell riding down from the Matterhorn?

My friend works in the park in costuming and he said that the first time that he saw the costume he physically jumped back in repulsion! haha!

    My best score ever!

Tink in flight is too close to the pyro for her to go without a head. At WDW the fireworks are far enough away for Tink to be a face character.

It was once a real person - from what I can remember. Flaming tinkerbell just wasn't the disney spirit...

When you see the current Tink from the hub, she's not that alarming at all. I think they intentionally give her that extra padding so she can easily be seen, plus there might be a few battery packs on her now to help her light up. I think I read the mask is to ensure that her face doesn't accidentally get toasted if the wind changes, but I could be wrong.

In any case, here's a couple shots of the original Tink from a national geographic article from way back when...

WOW! Just saw this! Thanks so much for posting the pictures of the original Tink flyer. How awesome is that?

I think the new Tink mask, while certainly a bit scary, is for the safety of the person playing Tink. What big eyes you have, Tinkerbell!

That would be interesting to know more about Mary Poppin's "flights".
I wonder if there are any pictures of that????

Is there something we should know about "Mr. Incredible"

I also think that "Tinkerbell was a real person" and I very much interested to know more about that, If some one has video or pic of that then that would be more appreciable.

yeah, Tinker Bell still does that and it's a real person now, or some weird audio-animatronic that moves while flying...

Re: Anyone remember Tinkerbell riding down from the Matterhorn?

Once in the late 90's my sister had some binoculars and had a closer look, and as it turned out it was a dude. Not just any dude, but a burly, hairy, smiling dude!

Lol I'm not kidding! True story!

But that was a long time ago and it's probably different now.
