'Tis only one thing missing in this wondrous collection. Great thanks are due to you for scanning these and sharing with us, but can we get a shout-out to the MIL for assembling such a collection? Perhaps a photo with a suitable inscription, that we might raise a glass to her memory?
Thanks for sharing.... makes me want to do the same for my kids thanks again ....
those are so cool! more!
What an absolutely awesome find. So great that she kept all that stuff and now you all get to enjoy it. Thanks so much for taking the time to scan and share with the rest of us 'disney geeks.'
WoW DizDee, you keep all of your old Disneyland maps. I remember my dad, older brothers and sisters just throw them away. Throw away old memories.
Thanks for sharing.
Man! Talk about the Motherlode! These treasures are wonderful! I noticed that back then, Disneyland wasn't big on photographing the character mascots as they do today. No pictures of Mickey and the gang in these booklets. I wonder why?
Great find. Great memories. I'm gonna share now. LOL.
I also remember the model airplanes flying in the circle. I would bug my dad to get me one and I never could learn to fly it. I would stand out in the street and crash that thing till it just wouldn't start anymore. Also got my knuckles busted by the props too trying to start the thing. I could spend hours watching those guys fly them.
My biggest joy though was Tom Sawyers Island. There were days at Disneyland when I would stay on that Island all day. I loved the tunnels.
Incredible find :D!
Wow, so totally awesome. Thanks so much for sharing.
I find it interesting that the "Haunted House" was being thought of in 1958. The outside of the house looks pretty much exactly the same as it came out. Sad that only 1 out of the 4 things that were being talked about came to be.
And wow, I never knew Pirates was flat like that. VERY weird.
Wow, this brings me back to my first visits to DL. Thank you so much for sharing your new found treasures.
That Is Amazing!!!!!!!
WOW! These are amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!!!
I am totally doing this for my kids!!! :)
