Add me to the list of those that never got to eat at Hollywood & Dine (I was only at DCA once before it closed). To be honest, I always thought this was the location of the Soap Opera Bistro (another one I didn't get to try). Where was that one located, and has anything taken its place yet?

I believe that is now where Playhouse Disney is.

Funny how Werner mentions that the location can still be rented out for parties.

Hey, maybe a couple hundred MiceChatters should get together and rent it out for a night? Could be fun.

Thanks for the info! I've been in there, but I didn't realize that's where Soap Opera Bistro had been. I couldn't care less about soap operas, but it still looked like it would have been a fun place to eat.

Werner, thanks for the terrific article! I'm one of those who never had a chance to experience Hollywood & Dine. Your pictures really have piqued my interest and I hope Disney makes use of this space wisely in the upcoming development of the park. I really, really like the idea of a food court! Too bad it didn't really work out.

I never got a chance to go here, and I wish I could have. Even though it was a simple food court, it was at least somewhat creative, and could have really been something. I honestly had no idea Don the Beachcomber was there. I would have absolutely loved to try that.
