I know this is WDW but in the tree of Pooh's Playful Spot there is a knot in the wood shaped like the Nautilus Submarine.

Does the Festival of Fools arena count? Or is that simply a closed attraction that never re-opened, like the Peoplemover?

Sometimes it's still used for private events. I've always wondered how much the rent would be for a private party.

    Welcome broadwayjedi!
    Some others:
    Eeyore sign in indy
    America sings animals in Splash
Mile long bar heads in winnie the pooh
Old keelboat dock is the smoking area
Rufous the bear snoring on splash

I'll try to think of some others

Nice list! Once I had actually found the 'Mile Long Bar' heads, I can't NOT see them. I've read about the Eeyore sign, but still haven't been able to spot it, and there are always too many people around for me to ask a CM to point it out.

There's a "Mineral Hall" sign on one of the walls in Rancho Del Zocalo; that location was once a shop adjacent to Rainbow Ridge and the Mine Train to Nature's Wonderland.

I have trouble considering those to be remnants. They were apparently recycled for Splash Mountain under the assumption that nobody would remember them from America Sings. Always struck me as trying to pass them off as new; not a typical move for Disneyland.

To me, a remnant is something that stands on its own as a reminder of the past. I do appreciate the bits and pieces of old attractions left around the park.

Oh this is cool -- where is this exactly? I didn't realize any of the painted desert still existed! I do love the old mine tunnels -- one of the most atmospheric areas, especially at night!

Just north of the fry wagon and (I believe) Big Thunder exit ramp on the east side of the trail. Notice also that one of the cactus has had it's top middle paddle snipped to form a 'Hidden Mickey.'

I finally saw the base of the old oplace yeterday. A kindly CM walked up and pointed it out to me. It's covered in foilage and painted green as to be almost invisible.
