|Dropping In (Again)
(Editor's Note: In assembling this piece on a rainy, if not spooky
night here in California I kept wondering why one mannequin in the department
store window seemed so strangely familiar...
A visit to the Twilight Zone seems to have provided an answer...

"The After Hours" was episode 34 from the first season of "The Twilight
Zone," originally broadcast on June 10th, 1960. Anne Francis portrayed Marcia
White, whose search for a gold thimble in a department store's non-existent
ninth floor began one of the best, and most fondly remembered episodes of the

The last shop on the left (under the "Fashion" sign), is in fact a small
pin store (inset below),
which was still closed last Sunday.
Also, there's another themed window outside the Tower's gift shop.
There are quite a lot of different props in the street, such as an old
phone booth, a parking meter, etc...
At the end of the boulevard, you see the entrance for the Tram tour and that the "Cruella"
car is display again.
