Thursday and Friday are currently forecast as the busiest days of the year for both Anaheim parks. They’ve already been setting attendance records in the past week, but these two days have even higher estimates. With DCA now soaking up almost double the numbers it was getting a year ago, while keeping those throngs very pleasantly entertained, the Anaheim parks are firing on all cylinders. That’s if you can find a place to park. Parking is now the Achilles heel for Anaheim, and they may run out of spaces before they run out of room in both parks. Take extra patience if you absolutely must visit Thursday or Friday.

Also, Disneyland Resort is returning to the Rose Parade this New Year’s Day with one of the longest and grandest floats in the parade’s history, dedicated solely to Cars Land. In the grand tradition of modern Disney attractions something “will go horribly wrong” with the float on cue, and they’ve got a very clever gag designed to fix it for the live TV cameras. Disneyland’s sharp marketing team is about to strike again with a witty and memorable moment. Most theme parks would be thrilled just having that mega-float in the parade, but Cars Land deserves something extra.
