Look Not into the Eyes of the Idol:

As we recently told you in our In The Parks column, Imagineers have been busy at Disneyland’s Indiana Jones Adventure as they make enhancements to the Eyes of Mara scene. New digital mapping projections and new audio have now been rolled out and are a nice upgrade to the light and fog effect which they replace. We posted a video to the MiceTube which will give you a sense of the new effects, but it is honestly much better in person. Though, we aren’t 100% sold on the new voice of Mara.

Thanks for the video. I agree with you 100% the visuals are stunning, but the voice is killing me. It sort of makes me laugh, which I am sure wasn’t their intent! Overall though, It’s fantastic to see them plussing attractions!

Mara now sounds as intimidating as a timid high school barista at Starbucks. Mara requires a deeper voice than Sallah’s intro.

Great upgrade- PLEASE change the new voice, horrible- clearly not a voice actor.

The effects look great, but the voice is laughably bad. I hope it’s just a place holder until they get the real voice person in the studio to record the lines.
