The Disneyland Resort in California is about to undergo a series of transformations.  First to Halloween time and then to Christmas decorations.  This is your last chance to see the park in its Year of a Million Dreams clothes before the long over-extended promotion is finally put out of its misery.  The Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse floral display at the front of the park will soon give way to Halloween Mickey. Over at Disney's California Adventure, Golden Dreams has had its last public performance.   The area surrounding the Golden Dreams Theater will eventually become a new dark ride based upon the Little Mermaid. The Sun Wheel is preparing to shut down for its transformation into "Mickey's Fun Wheel." Six Flags Magic Mountain is set to get a new wooden coaster in 2009. But that is just the tip of the iceburg, more news about the Hyperion Theater, Fantasmic, Haunted Mansion, Pirates, Matterhorn, the decision on an artificial tree for Christmas, another chance to win a free Honda, Garden Walk, and a 3rd Sheraton in the resort area. This week, new Midway Mania signs have replaced the old ones, but still feature "Disneyland" instead of California Adventure - and still don't reflect the full name of the attraction.
