Fantastic and huge update from Dateline Disneyland today. While the Rivers of America is slowly drained, a massive series of construction walls have gone up at Disneyland and California Adventure. The off season means the birth of refurbishment and construction projects. The new California Adventure Red Car line through Hollywood Studios is creating the biggest mess of new walls, but has also resulted in the dead end areas of Bugs Land and Tower of Terror being connected with a temporary walk way. World of Color testing video. A celebration of Roy E. Disney's life and legacy. New $35 D23 membership. Darkbeer and Lisa tie the knot and Knott's. And all sorts of news and photos. Join us for an update you won't want to miss.

Al Lutz has a "Monster" update for us today of the unfortunate kind. He chimes in on the D23 Expo, the current condition of Captain EO, and what will likely replace Captain EO when the run of Honey I Shrunk The Audience/Captain EO is over next year. Many of you won't be happy with the replacement (at least not for Tomorrowland).

D23 Expo was a big hit, and for Disneyland fans, it held a wealth of information about the parks. Fans were able to interact one-on-one with Imagineers, artists, and legends. A highlight of the Expo was and an up close look at the massive new Cars Land coming to Disney's California Adventure and the spectacular models of the three new lands coming to Hong Kong Disneyland. There were also several movie and attraction announcements, such as Star Tours II, almost all of which MiceAge readers already knew. But it was still nice to hear the official announcement. Join us for lots of photos and news from the D23 Expo as well as a small Disneyland update.

Darkbeer is back "In the Parks" this week, with a side trip to the floor of the D23 Expo. We start out taking a look at the new Lion King tram setup and operation. Then, we go inside the D23 Expo and get a sneak peek at the new stuff that Disney is showing off. Parks and Resorts has some wonderful Cars Land models on display, and David takes a look at them. Also, get a in-depth opinion of the Bob Iger keynote, and several opinions from around the Disney-verse. Finally, get a peek at Donny Osmond and the ABC keynote from the Expo. Last, we take a look at some new construction work as Disneyland prepares for Halloween Time. Every week, we bring you a whole Southern California of fun when we take a look "In The Parks"!

Fantasmic! finally premiered its new dragon and although she didn't initially set the night "ablaze" as promised, she was fixed by her second performance and is currently delighting crowds. The dragon was nearly eclipsed by the news that Disney bought Marvel Comics, and everyone wants to know what this will mean for the Disney parks and for Universal's parks which already use Marvel characters in some of their locations. This week promises even more breaking news as D23 launches their very first fan Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center next to Disneyland. And as always, the Dateline Disneyland update is packed with news and photos from around the Disneyland resort. So get ready to see what's up with hotel and theme park construction, that new building going up in Fantasyland, the new restaurant in California Adventure, Halloween Time, and much, much more.

Dateline Disneyland is back with news on Sunday's big increase in Disneyland ticket prices. But that's not all that went up, Disney's iconic ear hats have begun charging if you want your name embroidered on them. Of course, not all the news is bad this week, there are also lots of positive changes at Disney's California Adventure as we can finally see progress for the World of Color seating which closely matches the plans seen in the Blue Sky Cellar. And Walt Disney Parks and Resorts has released their ambitious plans for September's D23 Expo - Get ready to meet Lucky, Wall-E, and the Imagineers!
