One of the biggest theme park news stories of the year was Disney's acquisition of Marvel Entertainment. There is little doubt that Disney will leverage the characters and eventually put them in the parks. What would such a Marvel theme park look like? Today, we'll take a look at a Marvel park which has already been designed and ready to be built in Dubai . . . but not by Disney. Though there is no way for us to know how the Disney deal may affect the future chances of this park actually being completed, the concept art does give us an idea of just how amazing such a park could be. Come on, let's take a peek at something really amazing!

One week to Thanksgiving and the Disney parks around the world are ready for full Christmas insanity. The MiceChatters have been busily sharing news and photos of Disney's holiday decorations, lights, parades, fireworks, shows and attractions. Disneyland looks spectacular this year, but much discussion is focusing on the dwindling entertainment value of Walt Disney World - where continuous cutbacks have lead to a loss of many beloved details. Join us for this week's Round Up and we'll share the links and summaries of the most entertaining discussions, reviews, trip reports, news and photos of the week. You'll see what it's like to be a participant in Tiana's Showboat Jubilee, meet a Disney author, visit all the Disney parks in glorious photos, and have a lot of fun in the process.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort wrapped up last night; however, even as guests flooded into the park in record numbers to celebrate the spooky season, Christmas decorations were popping up in the stores and the castle itself was blanketed in fake snow. It was a collision of two holidays throughout the park, as if Haunted Mansion Holiday's story line had seeped out into the park itself. New Orleans Square and A Bug's Land are all decked out for the holidays and within the next couple of weeks, the parks will be completely transformed into a winter wonderland. Meanwhile, construction continues on the World of Color platform in Paradise Bay as the water level rises. Construction, merchandise, hotel, and operational updates in today's Dateline Disneyland as well as dozens of beautiful photos of the resort.

He also fills us in on the newly reopened Magic Shop on Main Street USA, automated stroller rental, an extra night just added to Knot's Halloween Haunt, and lots of great tips and photos from Disneyland.

Take a look with us at an attraction near and dear to the heart of Walt Disney himself, Carousel of Progress. First presented at the 1964 New York World's Fair, Carousel of Progress was a smash success and one of the most popular attractions at the Fair. Walt embraced an optimistic view of humanity and of the future, both present in Carousel of Progress. But progress itself forced the Carousel out of Disneyland in 1973 and to Disney World, where it remains (occasionally in temporary status) to this day. Join us for a look back at this classic attraction complete with photos and video. It's still a great big beautiful tomorrow!
