One week to Thanksgiving and the Disney parks around the world are ready for full Christmas insanity. The MiceChatters have been busily sharing news and photos of Disney's holiday decorations, lights, parades, fireworks, shows and attractions. Disneyland looks spectacular this year, but much discussion is focusing on the dwindling entertainment value of Walt Disney World - where continuous cutbacks have lead to a loss of many beloved details. Join us for this week's Round Up and we'll share the links and summaries of the most entertaining discussions, reviews, trip reports, news and photos of the week. You'll see what it's like to be a participant in Tiana's Showboat Jubilee, meet a Disney author, visit all the Disney parks in glorious photos, and have a lot of fun in the process.

The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are officially in full swing and all of the seasonal favorites are back - from Small World Holiday, Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle, to Santa's Reindeer Roundup at Big Thunder Ranch. The nightly "Believe... In Holiday Magic" fireworks spectacular is back as well, along with its signature snowfall finale. Meanwhile, construction continues at California Adventure and Santa makes an appearance in a new location. The Resort fights Swine Flu, and more is added to "The Disneyland Story" exhibit in the Main Street Opera House.

In the Parks Southern California Theme Park Blog brings us all the news and photos from Disneyland and beyond. Today marks the start of the Christmas season at the Disneyland Resort. It is also a very popular weekend to visit the parks and will likely be very crowded. However, keep in mind Disneyland's continuing parking problems, and the mass of cheerleaders which will descend on the resort like locusts this weekend. There are lots of great construction photos, as well as news from Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. It's a great update today, don't miss all the details.

It was quite a week at the Disneyland Resort. Christmas suddenly arrived and filming locations were set up throughout the park for the Disney Christmas day parade on ABC. Lucky park guests were able to spot celebrities or even catch performances. New Orleans Square saw the addition of not only its Christmas decorations, but a new meet and greet and river show themed to the Princess and the Frog as well. California Adventure is also getting in the holiday spirit, but walls throughout Paradise Pier conceal much of the real magic which is being constructed just beyond our view. It is unbelievable to think that they've managed to add even more equipment to the World of Color platform in the bay, but that's exactly what they've done. Join us as we take a look at what's new and what's news at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Is there ever an off season anymore at Disneyland? Doesn't seem to be. Halloween ended last weekend, but we are already predicting crowds this week for Veterans Day and the start of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee (inspired by the Princess and the Frog animated feature). The park will also be taping the Very Merry Christmas Parade this weekend with some spots filmed during the week. But don't expect crowds to lighten up after this week. The Christmas season officially starts at the resort on November 13th this year, followed the next week by Thanksgiving - and then the really BIG crowds begin to show up! No worries, it isn't all about crowds today, we also have stunning construction photos and updates from the parks, including some exciting progress in the World of Color viewing park.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort wrapped up last night; however, even as guests flooded into the park in record numbers to celebrate the spooky season, Christmas decorations were popping up in the stores and the castle itself was blanketed in fake snow. It was a collision of two holidays throughout the park, as if Haunted Mansion Holiday's story line had seeped out into the park itself. New Orleans Square and A Bug's Land are all decked out for the holidays and within the next couple of weeks, the parks will be completely transformed into a winter wonderland. Meanwhile, construction continues on the World of Color platform in Paradise Bay as the water level rises. Construction, merchandise, hotel, and operational updates in today's Dateline Disneyland as well as dozens of beautiful photos of the resort.
