Is there ever an off season anymore at Disneyland? Doesn't seem to be. Halloween ended last weekend, but we are already predicting crowds this week for Veterans Day and the start of Tiana's Showboat Jubilee (inspired by the Princess and the Frog animated feature). The park will also be taping the Very Merry Christmas Parade this weekend with some spots filmed during the week. But don't expect crowds to lighten up after this week. The Christmas season officially starts at the resort on November 13th this year, followed the next week by Thanksgiving - and then the really BIG crowds begin to show up! No worries, it isn't all about crowds today, we also have stunning construction photos and updates from the parks, including some exciting progress in the World of Color viewing park.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort wrapped up last night; however, even as guests flooded into the park in record numbers to celebrate the spooky season, Christmas decorations were popping up in the stores and the castle itself was blanketed in fake snow. It was a collision of two holidays throughout the park, as if Haunted Mansion Holiday's story line had seeped out into the park itself. New Orleans Square and A Bug's Land are all decked out for the holidays and within the next couple of weeks, the parks will be completely transformed into a winter wonderland. Meanwhile, construction continues on the World of Color platform in Paradise Bay as the water level rises. Construction, merchandise, hotel, and operational updates in today's Dateline Disneyland as well as dozens of beautiful photos of the resort.

Take a look with us at an attraction near and dear to the heart of Walt Disney himself, Carousel of Progress. First presented at the 1964 New York World's Fair, Carousel of Progress was a smash success and one of the most popular attractions at the Fair. Walt embraced an optimistic view of humanity and of the future, both present in Carousel of Progress. But progress itself forced the Carousel out of Disneyland in 1973 and to Disney World, where it remains (occasionally in temporary status) to this day. Join us for a look back at this classic attraction complete with photos and video. It's still a great big beautiful tomorrow!
