Dateline Disneyland: Goodbye Woopie, Tink, and Dreams

Categories: Dateline Disneyland

The Disneyland Resort in California is about to undergo a series of transformations.  First to Halloween time and then to Christmas decorations.  This is your last chance to see the park in its Year of a Million Dreams clothes before the long over-extended promotion is finally put out of its misery.  The Tinkerbell and Mickey Mouse floral display at the front of the park will soon give way to Halloween Mickey. Over at Disney's California Adventure, Golden Dreams has had its last public performance.   The area surrounding the Golden Dreams Theater will eventually become a new dark ride based upon the Little Mermaid. And we end this week's Dateline Disneyland update with photos from the new bowling lounge at Anaheim's Garden Walk, pictures from the windows on Main Street, and a few artistic photos of the Disneyland fireworks. See Andy Castro's entire Dateline Disneyland news and photo tour from the Anaheim resort HERE [1] _______________________________ Join the MiceChat Daily Email Update - Enter your email address Here: Delivered by FeedBurner [2] _______________________________ [1] http://www.addthis.com/bookmark.php [2] http://www.feedburner.com

Time to geek-out, Al is back with another huge Disneyland update!

Categories: Disney Company News, Disneyland, Entertainment

Great news today. Al Lutz is back with a huge update. Some of it good, some of it sad. Take the story of the new Disneyland Monorails for example. As you can see from the picture below, they are glorious to look at. But you can't ride them, and for good reason. A laundry list of problems need to be resolved before they can open to the public. Al also fills us in on the disingenuous marketing of Toy Story (Midway) Mania, the Innoventions House of the Future, Vacation Club troubles, Garden Walk concerns and possible sale, and construction updates for DCA and Tomorrowland. There is a lot to read, you can find Al's entire update HERE [1]. [1] http://miceage.micechat.com/allutz/al061708a.htm

Disney World and Disneyland Updates: Potential park closures, ride updates, monorail problems continue, and more

Categories: Disney Company News, Disney World, Disneyland, Monday In The Parks, Restaurants, So. Cal. Attractions

Lots to read about today. We have both Disneyland and Disney World news and rumors for you. Kevin Yee brings a sobering column on what could happen at Disney World if oil prices continue to rise and park attendance drops. Disney could enact a rotating park closure schedule. He also updates us on a beautiful new restaurant at the Contemporary Resort, Star Wars weekend, and Toy Story Mania easter eggs and operational updates. Read Kevin Yee's Disney World Update HERE [1] David "Darkbeer" Michael updates us on what is new at the Disneyland resort. The new monorails have been on site for months now. Red has been operating on the beam without guests for what seems like a very long time. It seems that the Monorails were designed without air conditioning and with windows which don't open far enough to allow for adequate air flow. David also fills us in on Six Flags Magic Mountain, Anaheim Garden Walk, and Universal Studios fire fighters promotion. Read David's Southern California theme park update HERE. [2] [3] ?
