One of the most heavily anticipated events of the year has finally occured at Disney's California Adventure park . . . WATER! Paradise Bay is finally filling up after many long months of World of Color construction. Of course, we have lots of beautiful photos to commemorate the event, along with a fantastic Disneyland Resort update. It is a week of change at the parks. Halloween is not yet over, but Christmas is already pushing its way into the parks. Houdini is moving into the Magic Shop on Main Street. Various restaurants are getting refurbishments. And of course, there are dozens of construction photos from Little Mermaid and Cars Land for you to drool over. Have a wonderful week and enjoy the update!

October is starting off with a very busy weekend for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. A major convention hits town on the same weekend as Gay Days. Expect the parks to be busy, but lots of fun. If you are planning to rent a stroller at the Disneyland Resort, be aware that rental fees have jumped to $15 per day. Stop by the resort for a chance to win a Tinked out Honda Insight. However, you'll want to read the fine print. News, photos, and construction updates.

Construction continues to progress at Disney's California Adventure as $1 billion is thrown into Paradise Bay for the upcoming World of Color water-and-fire show, an amazing new Cars Land, and the upcoming Little Mermaid dark ride (which is rumored to be of near E-Ticket quality). Disneyland has construction projects as well with work in Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, and the entire park redressing for Fall and Halloween Time, which begins this Friday, September 25. As always, Andy fills us in on the news, attraction closures, special events, and lots of WONDERFUL photos!

Disneyland's Astro Orbitor's is being reassembled planet by big beautiful planet. And as it comes back together, a fancy new color scheme is emerging. A major construction project is ongoing across the resort in the Timon parking lot behind California Adventure. The new Celebration Station BBQ at Disneyland is nearing completion. Over at California Adventure, the construction in Paradise Pier just gets bigger and bigger. Mickey's Fun Wheel looks like Christmas morning with the first of its cars hung like wrapped presents on a tree. Spring is bursting into bloom at the Disneyland Resort, and not just the flowers. The first of Paradise Pier's major changes are just beginning to bud. The new Paradise Pier sign as replaced Mickey's ears above the loop on California Screamin'. Mickey's Fun Wheel and the Paradise Pier carousel are both nearing completion of their transformation. It is a glorious Monday update for the Dateline Disneyland theme park blog. Disneyland's Small World is bathed in colorful lights as it prepares to reopen later this week. Elsewhere in the resort, new pavement is being laid and California Adventure continues its transformation from ugly duckling into swan.
