Summer 2018 Itineraries Revealed by Disney Cruise Line

For summer 2018, the Disney Cruise Line will return to favorite destinations like Alaska and the Caribbean as well as head to some new ports such as Milan, Italy and Cork, Ireland in Europe. The Disney Wonder will be in Alaska and the Disney Magic will be in Europe while the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will remain in the Caribbean. Reservations can begin to be made on February 23, 2017.

The Mediterranean

For a new change of pace, Disney guests will have the chance to see Rome, Italy and Barcelona, Spain on the same itinerary thanks to two weeklong cruises beginning and ending in the historic ports. Points of interest available will thus include the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican, Las Ramblas and Sagrada Familia.

 

The first 7-day cruise will embark on the Magic on June 16, 2018 from Barcelona to Civitavecchia (Rome) with stops at Marseilles and Villefranche, France; and Genoa (Milan), Livorno (Florence, Pisa) and Naples, Italy. The second just behind it will depart on June 23, 2018 in reverse from Civitavecchia (Rome) to Barcelona with visits to Naples, Livorno (Florence, Pisa) and Genoa (Milan), Italy; and Cannes and Marseilles, France.

Milan via Genoa, Italy will mark an inaugural call by Disney to access the likes of Portofino as well. Besides the two aforementioned itineraries, the Italian Riviera port will also feature on a 10-night voyage from Barcelona on July 7, 2018. That sailing will also head to other stops in Italy, France and Spain.

 

British Isles

Later in 2018, the Magic will return to the British Isles with another inaugural visit to Cork, Ireland on the line’s first-ever 7-night cruise in the region leaving on September 2, 2018. Other port visits on the weeklong voyage will include Dublin, Ireland; Greenock, Scotland and Liverpool, England. In Cork, guest will have the opportunity to tour Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone.

In addition to the Mediterranean and British Isles, the Disney Magic will also head to the Baltic and Norwegian fjords.

Alaska                   

What’s more, the Wonder with its latest enhancements will traverse the new larger Panama Canal locks to return to Alaska embarking from Vancouver, Canada on 5-, 7- and 9-night cruises to a combination of ports and sites: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Tracy Arm Fjord.

 

Caribbean

Not only will the Dream and Fantasy remain in the Caribbean, but the Fantasy will feature a special 11-night sailing on June 30, 2018 to Aruba, Barbados, Martinique, St. Kitts, Puerto Rico and Disney’s famed Bahamian private island, Castaway Cay.

Meanwhile, the Dream will feature Castaway Cay twice per 4-night sailing on June 6, 20 and July 4 and twice per 5-night sailing on June 1, 10, 15, 24, 29 and July 8. Each variety will depart roundtrip from Port Canaveral, Florida and also visit Nassau, Bahamas.
