Countdown to Pixar Pier. The newest land at Disney California Adventure will open later THIS month (June 23rd). Current construction photos show that it’s going to be a nail-biter for Disney to get it all done on time, we’ll show you below. Plus news, photos, and fun from both parks!
Welcome to Pixar Pier
The first Pixar Pier Commercial has arrived, what do you think? Since so much of the pier is under-construction still, there wasn’t much they could show. And what’s up with the Monsters Inc. door imagery? That ride is in a whole different part of the park.
Now on to construction updates. You can see that Disney is allowing construction to proceed during regular park hours and we can see lots of workers all over Pixar Pier.
The archway has started to go vertical that will welcome guests to the new Pixar Pier.
For the rest of the area you can see Construction Workers crawling all over everything to get this place ready for the June Premier!
This little clip from the upcoming Incredibles 2 film shows why Pixar Pier is getting a cookie shop.
Welcome to Incredibles Park. You’ll enter the Incredibles area under this arch. Look what’s testing . . .
Some new turquoise domes have appeared on the Pier above the new bandstand.
SPONSORED BY: The Anaheim Hotel
Your MiceChat visit was made possible in part by the support of the wonderful Anabella Hotel. This mid-century marvel of a hotel is located directly across the street from Disneyland and has recently been completely remodeled with your comfort and an eye toward the luxury of the past in mind. The Anaheim Hotel has the largest pool in the area, a comfortable jet-set lounge, and one of the most popular (and best) pizza restaurants in Southern California.
Call reservations at 714-772-5900 and ask for the “MiceChat Rate.”
This & That, around California Adventure
Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats has been a huge hit with long lines throughout the day, even at 9:00 in the morning the line already stretches down the walkway to the Incredicoaster.
Hollywood Land
What to do with this land? Not much has changed since Mad T Party vacated the area two years ago, Summer of Heroes was not a huge success last year and this year they have not really promoted it. If you walk through Hollywood land currently they are playing the same soundtrack from last years Summer of Heroes event.
Bye, Bye Bugs
This kiddie area will soon move to Yester California Adventure, though not everyone will not be sad to see it go. The land is slated to be replaced by Marvel. Are you looking forward to Marvel or will you miss the bugs?
Patriotic Merchandise with Cinderella Bubbles.
Disney has expanded their offering of Red, White & Blue merchandise this year. Plus, bubbles, bubbles, bubbles . . .
In other news a new Cinderella Bubble Maker has hit the parks, we suspect this item will be a hot ticket with your little ones. And if not, there is now a huge collection of bubble wands available.
Disneyland Construction Updates
Over on the other side of the Esplanade, the new It’s a Small World Gate additions are slowly taking shape.
Spaced Out
Hyperspace has warped out of the mountain. Space Mountain has returned to its more classic version.
Nearby, Path of the Jedi was also closed this week to prepare for an Ant-Man and the Wasp preview, which will launch this Friday the 8th.
Enough already . . . Star Tours is STILL locked to the Last Jedi destinations, PLEASE randomize this ride again. Can I hear an amen?
Going Up!
The new parking structure began vertical construction this week.
Star Wars Mountain Range
Last week Disney released their new block-out schedule for next June. Sure does look like that is when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open.
Disney’s newest mountain range continues to grow. . .
What are they hiding behind that blue tarp?
