We spent New Year’s Eve at the Magic Kingdom and Epcot for their respective celebrations. Let’s roll the clock back a few days and take a look! And be sure to read all the way to the bottom for a special contest to meet an amazing Disney World Legend.
Special Event Benefiting Give Kids The World
A new Disney-focused event series is coming to Central Florida. Give Kids The World, the Kissimmee-based nonprofit resort, which fulfills wish vacations for critically-ill children visiting the Central Florida theme parks, is hosting a speaker series at their resort. The first event is an evening with Former Vice President of Operations at Walt Disney World, Lee Cockerell, on January 17 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. During this discussion moderated by Jeff Barnes, Lee will share about his time at the company and give insights into what makes a great leader. The best part? 100% of ticket sales go directly to programs benefiting the children and families Give Kids The World serves.
Admission starts at $35 which includes general seating and parking. Other packages range from $50 for preferred seating to up to $150.00 for a VIP experience with Lee. You can find tickets and info HERE.
WAIT . . . THERE’S MORE . . . we have 2 pairs of tickets to give away to this great event. All you need to do is comment below letting us know you are interested in the tickets and share a link to this article on the social network of your choice. We’ll announce the winners in next week’s column. Let’s help some deserving kids and have a great time learning more about Walt Disney World history from a legend who guided Disney World’s growth.
That wraps it up for this week’s column. Have you made big plans for 2019? Have you done New Year’s Eve in the parks? Let us know in the comments below!
