Disney’s latest ship truly lives up to its name—the Disney Treasure! MiceChat joined the inaugural media cruise on Dec. 9, and we are thrilled to share all the news, photos, and videos of this extraordinary vessel with you.
Let’s explore Disney’s Treasure…

Meet the Disney Treasure
As the sister ship to the Disney Wish, the Disney Treasure becomes the sixth vessel in Disney Cruise Line’s fleet. If all goes as planned, Disney will have 13 ships by 2031. Beginning December 2024, the Treasure will embark on 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean adventures from Port Canaveral, Florida. treasure

While the Treasure shares its build with the Wish, it charts its own course with uniquely themed spaces and an overarching theme of adventure, inspired by Walt Disney’s love of exploration. Classic Disney storytelling comes to life in the ship’s immersive environments and live entertainment, weaving together beloved tales like Aladdin, The Jungle Book, Coco, Zootopia, and more.
NOTE: If you haven’t already, you can brush up on the Disney Wish with our deck-by-deck tour, and gather a better feel of the new ship layout compared to the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy.

This new ship could become a standout in the Disney fleet. With its vibrant palette and storytelling inspired by grand adventures, it offers stunning design, engaging entertainment, and a host of thrilling experiences.
Disney Treasure’s Magic in the Sky
Disney Cruise Line celebrated the Treasure’s christening at a dazzling event in New York City on Nov. 19, complete with an incredible drone show.
The arrival of the Disney Treasure was nothing short of spectacular, as Disney launched 1,000 synchronized drones into the New York City sky. The dazzling display brought to life the many adventures represented onboard the new ship, featuring iconic Disney tales like The Haunted Mansion, Moana, and Coco.
This breathtaking celebration set the tone for what awaits guests aboard the Disney Treasure—an entire ship dedicated to the spirit of adventure.

We now know lots of exciting details about this treasure trove of a cruise ship, from lounges inspired by The Haunted Mansion to dining experiences themed around The Aristocats. Here’s a closer look at the magical discoveries waiting for you on the Disney Treasure!
The Disney Treasure Grand Hall
Disney is calling the Treasure their “Palace at Sea.” By contrast, the Wish is referred to as Disney’s “Castle at Sea.” The atrium, also called the Grand Hall, draws from real-world inspirations of Asia and Africa, infused with the fantastic land of Agrabah.
Imagineers also told us the Wish is inspired by Fantasyland, and the Treasure by Adventureland.

Like the Wish, the Treasure’s atrium is a prominent gathering space, transforming into a theater with a central stage featuring live entertainment, character encounters, and sparkling surprises throughout the evenings.
There is even a slide down to the kids’ clubs from the main level of the Grand Hall; this one is themed to The Jungle Book!

Here’s a look at how the Treasure atrium compares to the Wish’s:

Just off the Grand Hall, two casual walk-up cafes – HeiHei Café and Jade Cricket Café -serve a selection of coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and snacks, with new themes that draw inspiration from two brave Disney Princesses, Moana and Mulan. The Jade Cricket is the more detailed of the two cafes and tends to draw a bigger crowd and longer waits. If one is busy, try the other. They are in the same location one deck apart.

New Coco Dining Experience & Returning Venues
Following the theater-in-the-round style from the Frozen-themed restaurant on the Wish, the Treasure hosts an all-new Coco dining experience! At Plaza de Coco, Mariachi music fills the air while Miguel and his family greet and perform beloved songs from the film – and because the ship will be sailing 7-night itineraries, expect two different Coco-themed shows and menus on your voyage.

On the first night, the story of Miguel and his familia will continue where it left off on screen as they gather in Mariachi Plaza to take guests on a colorful, music-filled journey that celebrates family memories and togetherness. On the second night, Miguel will reunite with his great-great-grandparents, Hector and Mama Imelda, by transporting them to Santa Cecilia with the help of his magic guitar for a Día de los Muertos celebration.

Select your cuisine from two new Mexican menus infused with a modern twist. Here’s a taste of some of the dishes:
The popular Worlds of Marvel dining experience that debuted on the Wish has been updated with a brand-new storyline called “Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix,” which is centered around the Guardians of the Galaxy. Guests will join Groot as they plan a surprise party for everyone’s favorite smart-mouthed raccoon, Rocket. The experience will be accented by the awesome music mixes the group is known for (we experienced the new “Guardians of the Galaxy” show and the soundtrack is definitely awesome!)

On the second-night “Avengers: Quantum Encounter” show takes over the location (the same as on the Wish).

Rounding out the rotational dining rooms is 1923, which includes more adventure-centric story artifacts and artwork, such as The Jungle Book and Aladdin, among others.

The Rose lounge, Palo Steakhouse, and Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallament all return for upscale adult-exclusive dining options.

For more casual, easy-to-find offerings; Mickey & Friends Festival of Foods, Marceline Market walk-up buffet, and 24/7 room service dining will all be available on the Disney Treasure.
The Treasure’s sweetshop, Jumbeaux’s Sweets, is reminiscent of the popular ice cream parlor, Jumbeaux Café, from the bustling metropolis featured in Zootopia. Surrounded by playful pink interiors, Victorian-style architecture, and an endearing sculpture of Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde. All are welcome to indulge in more than 20 flavors of handmade gelato, 16 flavors of ice cream and sorbets, specialty treats, candies, and more.

Here’s a closer look at some of the sweets cruisers will enjoy:

Disney-Themed Lounges
For the first time, the nostalgia and lore from beloved theme park attractions will come to life at sea with a unique lineup of parks-inspired venues aboard the Disney Treasure…
Scat Cat Lounge
The Scat Cat Lounge is an “Aristocats”-inspired lounge filled with nods to the characters and classic tunes from the animated film. The posh furnishings take their cue from Madame Adelaide Bonfamille’s abode (such as the Parisian-inspired carpet) blended with hints of Agrabah’s Middle Eastern flair since the lounge is right off the Grand Hall which houses the statues of Aladdin and Jasmine.

And, of course, there are plenty of nods to the leading felines, including a parade of them leading you into the lounge and pawprints across the piano.

As for Scat Cat Lounge’s libations, here is a peek at the menu:

Skipper Society
Skipper Society is a Jungle Cruise-themed lounge (this is where The Bayou is onboard the Wish). Boasting natural colorways and textiles with camp-style furnishings, the lounge offers a detailed experience with subtle nods to the world-famous Jungle Cruise skippers.

Themed snacks and libations are available here. Think of this along the lines of Magic Kingdom’s Skipper Canteen but as a bar.

Periscope Pub
Take a deep dive into Periscope Pub, a themed bar based on Walt Disney’s 1954 film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (and the attraction that was open at Magic Kingdom from 1971-1994).

This space is filled with nods to the adventurous Jules Verne as well as Captain Nemo. This will be the place to unwind and watch live sports and news while ordering from a menu of craft brews and light bites. You might just encounter a giant squid!
Haunted Mansion Parlor
The spookiest news about the Disney Treasure is that The Haunted Mansion is now sailing on the high seas. Folks, this is an incredible experience.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor is an immersive bar and lounge experience. Imagineering has been working on this labor of love for the last 4 years, with a focus on capturing the nostalgia and the authenticity of the attraction while also bringing something new to the table.
NOTE: When comparing the Treasure to the Wish, this new space replaces the Hyperspace Lounge.
The Parlor is filled with iconic pieces from Haunted Mansion attractions in the Disney parks, all infused with a nautical theme. Imagineering has taken inspiration from the mansion’s original Museum of the Weird concept, blending Rolly Crump’s original sketches and the classic Haunted Mansion mythos with a parlor from the early 1900s cruise liners. The result is delightfully chilling.

Upon entering the front door (which is designed after one of the doors from the corridor of doors), you’ll first take in the funeral of the captain. The ghostly residents are still in limbo, so we’ll need Leota to host a Seance… After the Seance is the Swinging Wake, where the entire space comes to life with ghosts via special effects and illusions (including a mysterious new one they’ve been trying to conjure up for years…). It’s going to be a real party with spirits as you drink your… spirits.

You’ll see plenty of nods to Rolly’s designs throughout the entire space. Including the parlor’s logo and entrance sign design, and the rug filled with eyes. Between the classic face-filled purple damask wallpaper and moving paintings in the portrait gallery -including some new works of art depicting the ship’s ghostly residents- you’re destined to notice that something is always staring at you.

While guests will be able to stay in the Haunted Mansion Parlor as long as they’d like during normal operating hours, there will be a continuously looping 30-minute ambient experience. A brand new music loop has been created for the Parlor, written by Disney Composer Shruti Kumar, which blends the classic themes from the Haunted Mansion with new arrangements, giving an emotional arc to the entire experience.
Pick your poison from these previewed menu selections:

Sympathetic Libations – A shimmering blood orange and sour cherry flavored, served in a souvenir mug (zero-proof)
Ghoulish Delight – Hints of sweetness and nuttiness with an ube-flavored fudge, oat milk, and tapioca pearls, complete with glitter and a gummy eyeball (zero-proof)
The Chilling Challenge – A spooky twist on a classic margarita, presented amidst a swirl of flavored smoke; topped with lemon salt foam, this tequila-based cocktail contains a secret message only to be revealed by black light.

Beyond the Sea Trinkets collection, additional new merchandise for the Haunted Mansion Parlor will exclusively be available on the Disney Treasure. The collection includes a t-shirt, music box (which belongs to the Captain’s bride-to-be…), mantle clock, a parlor mirror where the hitchhiking ghosts appear, and a sculpted mug featuring the same octopus from the entrance sign.
In our opinion, this lounge alone is worth booking a Disney Treasure cruise.
Sarabi
Named for the lioness matriarch from “The Lion King,” Sarabi is the central hub for daytime activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment onboard the Disney Treasure.(this space is called Luna on the Disney Wish).
Disney Treasure Entertainment
The newly-reimagined Beauty & the Beast Broadway-style show will carry over from the Disney Dream to the Disney Treasure, as well as the fan-favorite Seas the Adventure from the Wish.
Disney The Tale of Moana
But the real entertainment hit on The Disney Treasure is the all new Tale of Moana. The spectacular production is narrated by the spirit of Gramma Tala, who tells the tale not just through words but also by incorporating a blend of songs and dances from Tuvaluan, Tokeluaun, and Samoan cultures.

With the help of master puppet designer Micheal Curry and Disney Entertainment’s creative director of puppetry and articulation Jeff Conover, “The Tale of Moana” features larger-than-life puppets of characters like Te Kā. Guests are treated to a brand-new song, “Warrior Face,” sung by Maui to psych himself up to face Tamatoa. And, of course, fan-favorite songs, “You’re Welcome,” “We Know the Way,” and “How Far I’ll Go” are also included.

A scene that will surely leave an impact is when Moana journeys beyond the reef for the first time, guided by Gramma Tala’s spirit in the form of a giant Manta Ray, who will soar over the audience.

Moana’s epic battle with Te Kā features a 15-foot-tall puppet.
The show follows Moana as she embarks on an incredible journey to save her island after she is chosen by the ocean to restore the heart of Te Fiti. But you don’t need to be a fan of the 2016 film to enjoy this presentation. The incredible Gramma Tala performance, shiny Tamatoa number, and massive puppets combined by great stagecraft and music make this show a cant-miss.

Pirate’s Rockin’ Parlay Party.
The upper decks will come to life with music and fireworks during the swashbuckling soiree.
Back inside the ship, two movie theaters – themed to Neverland & Wonderland just like the Wish – feature the latest visual and audio technology and offer more options to watch first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, and more.
Disney Treasure Staterooms
The artful accommodations aboard the Disney Treasure are inspired by classic Disney tales of adventure. The 1,256 staterooms onboard will feature custom artwork and design elements that evoke the exploratory spirit of beloved films including Aladdin, Pocahontas, Up, and Encanto.
If you have a larger party that requires more room, your stateroom host or hostess will open the extra beds and bunks and close them again for you in the morning after they have serviced your stateroom.
The concierge rooms offer elegant themed touches from The Lion King, and four royal suites give subtle nods to Rajah from Aladdin, and Bagheera from The Jungle Book.

For the crème de la crème of stateroom suites… Embracing the adventures of the future, the Tomorrow Tower Suite captures the same forward-thinking mindset that inspired EPCOT.

Throughout the 2-story suite, dynamic art pieces, molten metal accents, and futuristic, colorful glass accents evoke the atmosphere of EPCOT’s World Discovery neighborhood. Set high in the ship’s forward funnel, this one-of-a-kind suite will overlook the top deck of the Disney Treasure and glimpse the open horizon through an expansive two-story window. With nearly 2,000 square feet of living space, the Tomorrow Tower Suite comfortably sleeps eight guests and features areas for eating, sleeping, and playing, as well as other perks like a full kitchen and private in-suite elevator. (Note that only the 1st floor of this suite is accessible to guests who can’t climb stairs)
More Returning Favorites
AquaMouse: Curse of the Golden Egg – Disney Cruise Line’s attraction at sea will plunge you into the world of Mickey Mouse animated shorts. Suspended high above the upper decks, powerful jets propel two-person ride vehicles through 760 feet of winding tubes. Onboard the Treasure, AquaMouse will introduce a new storyline that follows Mickey and Minnie on a zany misadventure into an ancient temple for a glimpse of the legendary treasure within. The two AquaMouse stories from the Wish will also carry over to the Treasure, offering a total of three alternating ride experiences.
And for kids of all ages, Disney’s Oceaneer Club, Edge, Vibe and It’s a Small World Nursery return to provide designated space to let their imaginations run free under the guidance of Disney-trained counselors. The same, popular youth spaces aboard the Disney Wish will also be on the Disney Treasure.
The popular adult-exclusive areas aboard the Disney Wish – Quiet Cove, Senses Spa (and that lovely Rainforest Room!), Untangled Salon, and Hook’s Barbery – will also copy over to the Disney Treasure.
Exclusive Disney Treasure Merch
Adventures Ahoy Collection
The Adventures Ahoy Collection is “inspired by the Disney Treasure’s theme of adventure and the many spaces onboard that will bring memorable Disney stories to life.”
The collection includes apparel, themed accessories, and housewares with designs that showcase Captain Mickey Mouse, Captain Minnie Mouse, and their daring pals, all donning their voyage-ready outfits.
Disney Treasure Logo Collection
Featuring gold and glitter accents, the Disney Treasure Logo Collection takes inspiration from the ship’s name.
New Loungefly accessories include a 3D gemstone print and apparel pieces feature a shimmer effect.
Disney Treasure Inaugural Collection
The Disney Treasure Inaugural Collection will commemorate the debut season of Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship with a jewel-toned color scheme inspired by the ship’s Agrabah-themed Grand Hall.
The collection includes apparel, accessories, and keepsakes that travelers will “treasure for years to come, alongside the magical memories they make onboard.”

Sea Trinkets
In addition to the three inaugural collections described above, a merchandise collection created exclusively for the Disney Treasure is called Sea Trinkets. The merchandise included in this collection centers around the different adult lounges onboard (Haunted Mansion Parlor, Skipper Society Lounge, and Periscope Pub) as well as the backstory that ties them all together, based on the Society of Explorers of Adventurers (also known as S.E.A.).
We don’t know the total number of items in this collection, but here’s what we’ve seen so far:
This is a porcelain coaster set decorated with artwork themed to areas onboard, including all three lounges. It comes packaged in a “barnacle”-encrusted tin.

This mixology set includes tools inspired by all three adult lounges.

This Nautilus faux ceramic planter draws inspiration from the Periscope Pub’s nautical steampunk theme.

This “decor piece” is likewise themed to the Periscope Pub.

The two remaining items (a jewelry set and a journal) are directly tied to S.E.A, both featuring the association’s insignia.
