D23 Day 2026 at the Disneyland Resort has just kicked off, and joining the many announced activities and promotions is a giant surprise guest in the form of Disney’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey float for this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Our team rushed to Downtown Disney this morning to snap these photos for you, MiceChatters!
Sadly, this Mickey surprise has already flown away. Before Disneyland even closed for the Day, Mickey had been deflated and packed away. A one-day surprise for the guests who happened to be on the west side of Downtown Disney.

Disney x Macy’s Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Capsule Collection
This first launch of the capsule collection is just a fraction of the 100+ items that will be available later this fall. But there is still plenty to be excited about, including pieces from fan-favorite brands like Loungefly, Crocs, Citizen, Super Smalls, Hallmark, and Swarovski, as well as other beloved characters from Disney, Pixar, and Marvel who have made appearances in Thanksgiving Parades of yore.
